Always triple verify by going to the official website for deadline confirmation
The below deadlines are for some (not all) Florida schools/programs. I will be making more posts for other regions of the United States. When in doubt, for merit scholarships if you cannot find a specific scholarship deadline, apply Early Action because some programs may give priority consideration for merit scholarships if you apply by the Early Action deadline!
University of Miami is one of the strong universities in Florida that does offer merit scholarships, and my college advising clients who have gone there love it, so a little shout out to them :) One of the merit scholarships the University of Miami offers covers full tuition and housing, which is incredible, and another reason to work hard on those common application essays - they can often make the difference between an interview invitation for a full ride, and not. If you are local to areas like Davie, Fort Lauderdale or Miami like some of my South Florida college advising clients, feel free to reach out. As a college advisor who has guided high school students to success through college advising, essay editing and merit scholarships and beyond, I am happy to help and have a conversation.
